Here are 7 types of Digital Marketing that you should know as a entrepreneur!

    Social Media Marketing

Which is the use of Social Media platforms, such as Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn, YouTube, Alignable, Pinterest, etc., to connect your audience or client to your brand, increase sales, and drive traffic to your business. A great way to use social media marketing is interacting with people in local facebook groups!

    Content Marketing

Content Marketing is focused on creating and distributing content for a targeted audience online. It is free, valuable content that is easily shareable. It is used to attracted leads, increase sales, increase brand awareness, expand your customer base, and engages your potential clients.

    Pay-Per-Click Advertising

Pay-Per-Click Advertising is used to drive traffic to your website by placing ads on different websites. You will pay the website publisher when your ad is clicked. Social Media sites (Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest, LinkedIn, etc.) also have their versions of pay-per-click advertising too. Search Engine Marketing (SEM) is a version of Pay-Per-Click Advertising because it uses paid advertising to get traffic from search engines like Google. WCE had a webinar on how to use Facebook Ads! Here is the link to check it out:  https://www.wearewce.com/Sys/Store/Products/46531

    Affiliate Marketing

Is the process of someone earning a commission by promoting your products. Example - you can pay a well known blog (in your target market) to promote your business or product for you. This can be expensive, but is a great way for your business to be seen by your target market and by someone they trust.

    Email Marketing

Email Marketing is, well, sending your clients emails! If you already have a database of emails from your past clients use those to send newsletters, notification of sales coming up, or even holiday greetings! Email Marketing is a great way to remind your existing clients that you are still here! Building your email list is important too! Try putting a opt in for emails on your website or create a giveaway that requires an email to enter.

    Text Marketing

Text Marketing is very similar to email marketing except is by text messages instead of email. There are different programs that you can use. WCE actually has a workshop coming up in September about Text marketing with Project Broadcast!! Here is the link for more info: https://www.wearewce.com/event-3894638

    Search Engine Optimization (SEO)

SEO is very important and can be hard to master. It is the process of driving free, organic traffic to your website from search results on the search engines. To be on the first page of a search engines you need to optimize your website or blog with the right content and search words and get enough clicks to make search engine sites see your website. Content marketing actually helps with your SEO!

Marketing is complex and hard to master to say the least. You can join us on WCE’s webinar this Thursday to hear more about Marketing and how to stand out on Social Media! Link to the event right here: https://www.wearewce.com/event-3877515

Have you ever heard of the Rule of 7? If you’re in marketing you sure have! If not, the Rule of 7 is a “marketing principle that states that your prospects or clients need to see or come across your offer or business at least seven times before they really notice it and start to take action.”

So, that means your client isn’t even going to consider you until they have heard your name or seen something about you AT LEAST seven times!

What does this mean for you? It means you need to be creative and find ways to get yourself and your business name out there! Use the tools and resources that are available to you, be active and engage on social media. Expand your network and use new resources to help spread the word about you and your business. Don’t be scared to pay for advertising, it works! You want to make sure you are seen not just by people you know, but by a whole new audience. By using well established outlets on social media and other media publications you will be able to expand your marketing channel.

Here is a great article that goes into detail about ways you can use the Rule of 7 to expand your business ~ https://www.thebalancesmb.com/how-to-use-the-rule-of-7-to-radically-grow-your-business-4037683

We hope this helps you!! And don’t forget to check out our upcoming events!!

    1. Referrals. Referrals. Referrals.

Ask your current clients to give you a shout out or ask them to write a a review on social media. It’s easy for them and influencer marketing is one of the most successful. If you don’t have current clients ask a friend (that you’ve done work for) to write the review or give the shout out!  Remember people aren’t thinking about you and your business as much as you are (or at all) so you need to ask for help!

    2. Network.

This one seems obvious and it might seem impossible during COVID-19, but it isn’t! There are lots of ways to network online! You can become more active in local Facebook groups ~ and not just one of them! Be active in all of them or most of them. Most likely people are in the same groups and if they see you in more than one group they will get to know you more and faster. Be remember ~ be genuine, be yourself. Don’t try to be someone you’re not just to get clients, fake shows. You can also find online events that are going on right now ~ either networking events or fun community based ones!

    3. Show You’re a Pro!

Show the world that you are a leader in your industry! Book a speaking engagement for a local event, reach out to be a guest blogger, inquire about being on podcast, or do an Instagram takeover with another local business owner! Let people know that you know your stuff!!

    4. Collaborate!!

You can collaborate with other business owners to help each other gain more clients. Clients are the only one thats can give referrals ~ other business owners can help you with that too! And don’t be scared to befriend the business owners in your industry! You might think they are the enemy, but they’re not! There are enough clients to go around and if they have an over abundance of clients wouldn’t you like to be their referral??

    5. Know the Client You’re Looking For!

This is the most important one! Not everyone is your client! If you market to everyone you will run yourself too thin and come up empty. Here is a great blog post about Tips on Finding Your Ideal Client from one of our speakers for WCE: https://brittnischroeder.com/finding-ideal-clients/

Let us know what you think of these tips! And let us know how we can help you!!!
